Newcastle United appoint Sudarshan Gopaladesikan as club’s technical director

    Gopaladesikan, also known as “Suds”, previously worked as the director of football intelligence for Atalanta for three years.

    Gopaladesikan replaces Paul Mitchell. Who left the club by mutual consent at the end of May after taking over in the summer.

    “Suds” will report directly to the new sporting director and, upon appointment. Will lead Newcastle’s football data operations, working closely with Eddie Howe and the coaching team. As well as the club’s performance assessment, medical, analytics, methodology and player selection teams.

    He will be responsible for bringing information to the men’s, women’s and academy teams.
